Trivia

  • This is the fourth time someone got another character's name wrong. First was Doom-mates, the second was Snapnapped, and third was Mom-A-Geddon.
  • This episode was possibly inspired from the TV show Get Smart, in the episode 99 Loses Control. Agent 99, Kitty's counterpart, dates a rich and attractive casino owner and Max, Dudley's counterpart, is untrustful to him spying on them wherever they go. Maxwell Smart eventually discovers that 99's lover is a ruthless KAOS agent.
  • Jack Rabbit is voiced by Daran Norris, who also voices the The Chameleon, The Chief, Bad Dog, and Francisco.
  • Jack's intro is an allusion to the James Bond films
  • This is the third time Dudley wore pants. First and second times were Puppy Love and Watch Dog.
  • This is the very first time Dudley chews his butt since Purr-fect Partners.
  • It is heavily implied in this episode that Kitty and Dudley see each other as more than just friends or partners. Another good example is in Dog Daze.
  • Dudley says slightly different variations of his catchphrase in his fight with Jack.
  • This was the fourth time where Keswick and Snaptrap talk to each other. The first three were Cruisin' for a Bruisin', Snapnapped, and Watch Dog.
  • This is the third time where an ice cream truck appeared. The first two were in Dog Daze and Watch Dog.
  • This is the first time where a villain (The Chameleon) arrests themselves.
  • This is the first episode where Snaptrap appears without his minions.
  • The Chameleon had a cameo appearance in this episode.
  • This was the second time where Dudley mistakes a normal item for the Chameleon. The first time was in Doom-mates.
  • Jack Rabbit dodging Keswick's fudgey-bars is almost, if not exactly like Neo dodging bullets (bullet-time) in The Matrix.
  • Bullet-time was previously used in The Fairly OddParents episode, Power Mad!, but with Timmy dodging carrots.
  • The Puppy Punch is a possible take on the Falcon Punch scene from the final episode of the anime F-Zero Falcon Densetsu. Commonly used on YouTube videos.
  • In this episode Dudley was suspicious about Jack but Kitty didn't believe he was right. This is similar to how Kitty was suspicious about Snaptrap turning good in Mall Rat and Dudley didn't believe her either.
  • The scene where Jack uses a cable to lower himself down to the restaurant's salad bar is reminiscent of a scene in Mission: Impossible.
  • The writers put Snaptrap's photo at the end of the episode title sequence possibly to avoid spoiling the fact that Jack was the main antagonist of this episode. It could also be because Jack was working with him in this episode.
  • This episode is similar to the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends episode, Frankie My Dear, where the main female character's boyfriend acts antagonistic and the character gets angry at them.
  • Dudley's theme music was used as title card music for The Fairly OddParents.
  • This episode is similar to Danny Phantom episode, Double Cross My Heart, where the main female is hanging out with someone whom the main male character is suspicious of working with the bad guys. The difference is that, Dudley is right with Jack working for Snaptrap while Danny is wrong with Greg not working with the Guys in White.

Goofs

  • When Keswick immobilized Snaptrap in the mound of fudge, Snaptrap did not swell up in reaction to his allergy to cheese; however, he could be allergic to something in cheese that is not necessarily in other dairy products.
  • Dudley shoots the helmet off of Kitty's head and the restraints on her hands. When she gets up, the leg restraints were broken, yet Dudley didn't blast them.
  • When Keswick was shooting out fudgey bars, the sticks were flying out like shells. Yet when you look at him shooting the bars, the sticks are still in them.

Running Gags

  • Buildings that sound like phrases, causing confusion in conversations (e.g. Our Old Stomping Ground, 3 Days Ago, The Usual Sources).
  • Jack playing music with his cufflink.
  • Keswick shooting fudgey bars with a mounted gatling gun.
  • Dudley's theme music ending up turning into recordings of him and his mom arguing.
  • When pressured to make up false identities on the spot, Dudley and Keswick say that they are Bob and look at the sign for their last names (Bob Stay-Off-The-Grass, Bob Men's-Room, Bob Don't-Feed-The-Squirrels, etc.).
  • Jack getting Dudley's name wrong (Davey, Dicky and Dippy).
