Mall Rat is the third episode of T.U.F.F. Puppy's first season.

Synopsis[]

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

At T.U.F.F. HQ, Kitty tells Dudley about Snaptrap being released from prison, but Dudley is distracted by searching meat on the Web. Kitty confronts him but denies looking for meat saying that he "Would not be insensitive to Agent Bossy". Snaptrap then appears and says that he has reformed and promises to give out free muffins to Petropolis. Everyone is excited about this, but Kitty's unconvinced. As the citizens of Petropolis cheer and attempt to eat their muffins, Kitty blasts them, thinking they're poisonous and/or bombs. But after Keswick analyzes one, they turn out to be blueberry, making the people "boo" at Kitty.

Back at T.U.F.F., everyone gives Kitty dirty looks (including Agent Nutz, who blew up her lunch), when Snaptrap appears again and vows to give Petropolis a sunny day at the beach. When everyone is at the beach, Snaptrap uses his weather cannon, but Kitty destroys it, causing the rain to come back and more people booing at Kitty.

Dudley and Kitty approach a mall that Snaptrap has opened, called Snappytown, and Snaptrap promises to give away free frozen yogurt. Everyone cheers for Snaptrap, but they become terrified when Kitty walks over and think she will steal their yogurt. After saying their yogurt is safe, a depressed Kitty attempts to go home, thinking Snaptrap has changed. Dudley goes outside and tries to cheer her up by telling her she was trying to protect everyone, using super violent, pushy, misguided, heartless ways, but then everyone except Dudley gets locked in the mall. Snaptrap tells them that he hasn't changed at all, and Kitty does a little gloating dance because she was right about him. Snaptrap discusses his plan... then realizes that he is still in the mall, thanks to Larry.

While Dudley is flying in the T.U.F.F. Mobile, Kitty tells him about her plan, which Dudley commands everyone to go with. Despite everyone's protests, Dudley goes with it anyway. During the trip to the sun, Kitty traps Larry and Francisco in a net and gets into a brawl with Snaptrap in a photo booth. The mall then turns around, flies back to Earth, and everyone is saved.

After arresting the D.O.O.M. agents, the Chief awards Dudley and Kitty with a pretzel and a pair of sunglasses. Kitty thanks Dudley for trusting her when no one else would. The duo then decides to do a gloating dance... which is good until the two argue over the glasses and end up breaking it, making Dudley break into tears.
